The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Celebrates its 50th Anniversary in Houston
In 1969 the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) was born and has been held annually in Houston, Texas ever since. 2018 marks it’s auspicious 50-year anniversary milestone. The focus of the conference is on the development of energy resources - mainly oil and natural gas and will be held between April 30 – May 3, 2018. The OTC ranks in the top 10 of meetings in the US with the highest attendance. The numbers are well over 70,000 (in 2014 the figure was 108,300) and the event is ranked as one of the biggest trade shows in the country. It also has the title of being the largest gas and trade show in the world with delegates attending from more than 110 countries.

The event will be held at Houston’s NRG Park to accommodate the enormous size of the participating delegates. The trade show features over 2,000 different companies in a 500,000+ sq. Revenue generated from the OTC’s 13 sponsoring organizations is used to create educational programs for their members which include training and the dissemination of technical journals.
