Corporate Housing Houston

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise recently announced that a brand-new 568,000 square-foot campus will break ground in the fourth quarter of 2019. This shift is in response to two years in a row of significant flooding at their previous Houston location. The company will be keeping the vast majority of its Houston operations in the city while manufacturing operations will be relocated.

The campus will be a mixed-use development, located at CityPlace in Springwoods Village. Besides the HPE offices, the location will be host to a wide range of amenities as well as plenty of green space.

HPE committed to remaining in Houston

HPE expressed its commitment to staying in the Houston area, and in choosing its new location, canvassed employees as to their needs with regard to a new home. Primarily, they wanted a location that was easy to get to, close to highways and their homes, with access to amenities like shopping and restaurants.

At press time, 24-Hour Fitness had already signed a long-term lease that will account for 38,000 square feet within the compound. Along with the HPE offices, the fitness center is expected to open for business in the later part of 2019.

A 60-acre business development within the larger master-planned community of Springwoods Village, CityPlace is becoming home to much more than just Hewlett-Packard. A new Marriott Hotel opened its doors in October, and developers’ broke ground on the new Star Cinema Grill as well as a new multi-tenant office building. A 268-unit mid-rise luxury residential apartment building, The Mark at CityPlace, was completed earlier in 2018 and is now accepting tenancy applications.

Springwoods Village offers sustainability and a greener way of life

With its commitment to sustainable living and work environments, the over-arching principles that the community was built on are family, nature, and economic development living in harmony.

While it features hundreds of thousands of square feet of business space, the Village was designed with livability in mind. The residential and business districts are walkable or, if not, at least within biking distance. Green space is everywhere, highlighting the beauty of nature even as it underscores the thriving industry that is currently taking up residence.

The HPE campus will be located at the far northeast end of the Village, next to the Southwestern Energy campus and easily accessible from I-45. Located right across the road from CityPlace Park and its adjacent plaza, it will be home to 2,400 HPE employees and the building itself is expected to attain a LEED certification for environmental sustainability.

Houston developers heading up the project

With Houston-based Patrinely Group heading up the development, the results are expected to be nothing less than world-class. A well-established group with more than 35 years of experience building class-A office space as well as entertainment complexes, multi-unit residential, and more, Patrinely Group is widely regarded as the best commercial real estate developer in the city and they have won many awards to give credence to this claim.
